How you win in Aztec Gems
You need 3 matching symbols on one of the 5 paylines of the 3×3 grid. That's the only way to win.
The gems pay about 0.5× to 5× your bet depending on the color, and the Aztec mask wild is the top symbol. The wild substitutes for other symbols.
The twist is the fourth reel on the right. It doesn't pay on its own; the value it lands on (x1 to x15) multiplies all wins on that spin. So a small line win with x15 can turn out nicely, but if there's no line win, the multiplier is useless.
Features: what it has and doesn't
- Multiplier reel: the only special feature. Every spin brings a new multiplier value.
- Wild: an Aztec mask that substitutes for other symbols.
- Free spins: none.
- Bonus round: none.
- Bonus buy: none, because there's no bonus to buy.
Because there are no free spins, the whole RTP comes from the base game. That's different from high-volatility games, where a big part of the return is tucked away in a rare bonus.
RTP and volatility: what they mean for your budget
At 96.52%, the expected cost is about ₱35 for every ₱1,000 in total bets. That's still a long-run average; read the RTP guide for details.
Volatility is low to medium, so the swings are smoother and the ceiling is low (375×). It suits people who want a long session on small bets, not those chasing a big hit.
Just an example: you have ₱200. At ₱1 a spin, that's about 200 spins; because volatility is low to medium, small returns are more likely to come often. But remember: even with frequent small wins, your balance still goes down in the long run. The volatility guide explains more.
Myths and common mistakes
- "It's low volatility, so I won't lose." There's still a house edge. Your balance just moves more slowly.
- "x15 will come out if it hasn't for a while." The multiplier reel is random on every spin.
- "Aztec Gems, Deluxe and Megaways are all the same." Their grid, volatility and max win are different. Check which one you're opening.
- "It's easier to 'read' because it's simple." The mechanics are simple, but the result is still RNG.
Where to play legally
Only play Aztec Gems on a PAGCOR-licensed site. Many copies or "modded" versions circulate online, and you have no protection there if a withdrawal goes wrong.
- Type the exact site address into our PAGCOR license checker before you sign up. A logo or screenshot of a "license" isn't enough.
- Deposit only through the site's own cashier. Don't send money to an "agent's" personal GCash number. Read the safe GCash and Maya deposit guide for slots.
- Check the RTP on the game's info screen on that site, because the version set up there may be different.
