PCSO, not PAGCOR
PCSO is the government office in charge of lotto in the Philippines. Under Republic Act No. 1169, PCSO was given the power to hold lotteries and set their prices and prizes. The income goes to health, medical assistance and charity programs.
PAGCOR, on the other hand, covers casinos and licensed gaming sites. They're different agencies. So if an online site claims to be "PAGCOR-licensed lotto," be careful. Official lotto means PCSO games, and the official channels are listed on the official PCSO website. More detail in our lotto legal guide.
The five 6-number games
In all five games, you pick 6 numbers. If all six match, that's the jackpot. What differs is how many numbers there are to choose from, and that's where the odds come from.
| Game | Number range | Price per bet | Draw days | Jackpot odds | Minimum jackpot |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ultra Lotto 6/58 | 1–58 | ₱25 | Tuesday, Friday and Sunday | 1 in 40,475,358 | ₱75 million |
| Grand Lotto 6/55 | 1–55 | ₱25 | Monday, Wednesday and Saturday | 1 in 28,989,675 | ₱45 million |
| Superlotto 6/49 | 1–49 | ₱25 | Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday | 1 in 13,983,816 | ₱25 million |
| Megalotto 6/45 | 1–45 | ₱25 | Monday, Wednesday and Friday | 1 in 8,145,060 | ₱15 million |
| Lotto 6/42 | 1–42 | ₱25 | Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday | 1 in 5,245,786 | ₱10 million |
The ₱25 price and minimum jackpots come from PCSO's Jan. 30, 2026 announcement, reported by Philstar and GMA News, effective Feb. 1, 2026. The draw days match the list of PCSO draws on the Inquirer. These draws are reported to be at 9:00 PM, but that comes from a third-party results site, so confirm with PCSO.
The odds are exact math: C(N,6), or the number of ways to choose 6 from N numbers. For example, in 6/58: (58 × 57 × 56 × 55 × 54 × 53) ÷ 720 = 40,475,358. All tiers and the working are in our lotto odds guide.
Besides the jackpot, there are also prizes for 5, 4 and 3 correct numbers. According to a PCSO statement reported by GMA News, the 5- and 4-number prizes are "up to" ₱1M to ₱1.5M depending on the game. But Philstar said "minimum of P1 million" for 4 numbers. Since the reports differ, we treat the exact amounts as not yet verified.
Digit games: 2D, 3D, 4D, 6D
Digit games are different. Here, the digits have to match in the right position (straight), so the math is different.
| Game | Draws | Straight odds |
|---|---|---|
| EZ2 (2D) | Daily, 2PM, 5PM and 9PM | 1 in 961 (31 × 31) |
| Swertres (3D) | Daily, 2PM, 5PM and 9PM | 1 in 1,000 (10 × 10 × 10) |
| 4D Lotto | Monday, Wednesday, Friday | 1 in 10,000 (10⁴) |
| 6D Lotto | Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday | 1 in 1,000,000 (10⁶) |
The 2D and 3D draw times come from GMA News' lotto page. The 4D and 6D days match the list of draws on the Inquirer. 2D is two numbers from 1 to 31, based on published results. Digit game prices: not yet verified. Swertres also has a "rambolito" option where you can win even if the order is different; its odds are in the 3D guide.
How to play at an outlet
- Find an authorized PCSO lotto outlet. This is the legal place to bet.
- Choose a game and numbers. Your own numbers or lucky pick. The odds are the same.
- Pay. ₱25 per combination in the 6-number games.
- Check the ticket. Are the game, numbers and draw date correct?
- Keep the ticket. You need it to claim. Don't post a photo of it on social media.
Age rule: According to PCSO (in a statement reported by Philstar), the age requirement to bet and claim is 18 years old. SugarFun itself is for ages 21 and over only.
Is there an official online lotto?
Right now, we can't verify any active official online lotto channel from PCSO. In Feb. 2026, Philstar reported that Pacific Online ended its e-lotto project with PCSO, after it was left in "prolonged suspended animation" because of the government's policy against online betting platforms.
So our advice: bet at authorized outlets, and check the official PCSO website before trusting any app or site. Avoid "online lotto agents," Facebook pages or apps that don't come from PCSO. Read our online lotto guide.
Claiming and tax
- ₱10,000 and below: Can be paid by an authorized agent, according to the LottoMatik FAQ. Anything higher, at a PCSO branch.
- Jackpot: Claimed in person at the PCSO main office, according to Philstar.
- Requirements: Reportedly 2 valid IDs and a signature on the back of the ticket.
- Deadline: Reportedly 1 year from the draw date.
- Tax: Under the TRAIN Law (RA 10963), PCSO and lotto winnings above ₱10,000 have a 20% final tax. ₱10,000 and below is exempt.

Hot numbers and other myths
Each draw is independent. The balls have no memory. So:
- "Hot" and "cold" numbers have no effect. A number that comes out often has the same chance in the next draw.
- "Lucky number systems" don't raise the odds of your ticket.
- "Nobody has won in a while, so it's close" is wrong. The odds are the same every draw no matter how big the jackpot is.
There's no legitimate "prediction" in lotto. That's why we don't have results tables, number generators or predictions here.
