EZ2 2D Lotto Guide PH: Odds, Price and Draw Schedule

EZ2, or 2D Lotto, has the shortest odds of any PCSO lotto game. But it draws three times a day, so it's also the easiest one to overspend on. Here's the math.

Quick answer EZ2, or 2D Lotto, is a PCSO game where you pick two numbers from 1 to 31. A standard play wins ₱4,000 per ₱10 if both match in exact order, at 1 in 961 odds. Rambolito wins in either order and pays ₱2,000 per ₱10, at about 1 in 480.5 with two different numbers. Draws are daily at 2PM, 5PM and 9PM.

How to play EZ2

2D Lotto, known as EZ2, is a game of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO). It isn't a PAGCOR game. According to PCSO:

  1. Pick two numbers from 1 to 31 on the 2D playslip, or mark Lucky Pick (LP).
  2. Mark the amount. Play amount is ₱10 to ₱500 per combination, including the 20% Documentary Stamp Tax.
  3. Optional: Rambolito. Mark it if you want to win even if the order is reversed.
  4. Advance draws. Same numbers and play type for up to six consecutive draws, ₱10 per play per draw.

Buy only from authorized lotto outlets or PCSO's official online channel. Our online lotto guide explains the difference. Official site: pcso.gov.ph. Some look-alike domains are not PCSO.

Standard vs rambolito

Play typeYou win when…Prize per ₱10
StandardBoth numbers match in exact order₱4,000
RambolitoBoth numbers match, in either order₱2,000

PCSO describes Rambolito as the 2D "system bet." Note that ₱4,000 ÷ 2 = ₱2,000: half the prize in exchange for two possible orders. If your two numbers are the same (e.g. 15-15), there's only one order, so rambolito adds nothing; it isn't verified yet how the terminal handles this.

Exact odds, with working

Each of the two numbers is 1 to 31. The same number can come out twice: 22-22 was the result of the 2D 5PM draw on May 7, 2025, per GMA News. So:

  • Possible results: 31 × 31 = 961.
  • Standard: 1 winning result. Odds 1 in 961.
  • Rambolito, two different numbers: 2 winning results (e.g. 07-19 and 19-07). Odds 961 ÷ 2 = 1 in 480.5.

If you assumed a number couldn't repeat, it would be 31 × 30 = 930, but that's not what the results show. For a side-by-side with every PCSO game, see PCSO lotto odds.

How much comes back on average?

Expected value per ₱10 play, using PCSO's fixed prizes:

  • Standard: ₱4,000 × 1/961 = ₱4.16.
  • Rambolito: ₱2,000 × 2/961 = ₱4.16.

Both play types have the same average. Of every ₱10, about ₱5.84 doesn't go back to players on average. Rambolito wins more often, but the prize is smaller, so it evens out in the long run. If you bet more (up to ₱500), the prize grows but the percentage lost stays the same. Prizes above ₱10,000 are also taxed 20%, which lowers the return on big bets.

Draw schedule

PCSO draws 2D Lotto every day at 2:00 PM, 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM, broadcast on IBC13 and D8TV and livestreamed on PCSO's official channels. You must be 18 or older to buy or claim, according to PCSO.

Three draws a day make the spending add up fast. Just ₱20 per draw, but ₱20 × 3 × 30 = ₱1,800 a month. Swertres 3D has the same draw times, so if you play both, it's twice as fast. Set a weekly budget and stick to it.

Myths to forget

  • "22-22 already came out, it won't happen again." Each draw is independent. Same 1 in 961.
  • "Follow the 2PM result in the 5PM draw." The draws have no connection to each other.
  • "Hot and cold numbers." Past results don't change future odds.
  • "Birthdays are lucky." Play them if you like, but every number has the same odds.
Remember: EZ2 is entertainment, not a way to make money. Don't chase losses in the next draw. More habits in our Laro Nang Tama guide.

How to claim

Per PCSO's 2D page: ₱20 up to ₱10,000 at any authorized lotto outlet, ₱20 up to ₱500,000 at PCSO branch offices, and ₱20 up to jackpot at the PCSO Main Office, 2nd Floor. Prizes above ₱10,000 are subject to 20% tax under the TRAIN Law. PCSO's FAQ says to write your name and sign the back of the winning ticket before claiming.

PNA, citing RA 1169, reports a one-year window from the draw date to claim. Steps and IDs are in our how to claim guide. For all PCSO games, see the PCSO lotto guide.

FAQ

How do you play EZ2 2D Lotto?

Pick two numbers from 1 to 31 and mark your bet amount. A standard play wins when both numbers are right in exact order.

How much is the EZ2 prize?

According to PCSO, ₱4,000 per ₱10 on a standard play and ₱2,000 per ₱10 on rambolito.

What are the odds of winning EZ2?

1 in 961 on a standard play, because there are 31 × 31 = 961 possible results. On rambolito with two different numbers, 2 in 961, or about 1 in 480.5.

Can the same number come out twice, like 22-22?

Yes. For example, 22-22 came out in the 2D 5PM draw on May 7, 2025, according to GMA News. That's why there are 961 possible results, not 930.

When is the 2D Lotto draw?

Every day at 2:00 PM, 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM, according to PCSO.
