How you win
This is a payline slot with 20 fixed lines, but no spinning reels. The symbols drop into place.
When you win, the winning symbols explode and new ones drop in. This is the Avalanche. If there's a new win, they explode again, over and over until there are no new wins. So a single bet can produce several wins in a row.
There's also a wild that substitutes for other symbols. For the basics of paylines and RNG, read the slots guide.
Features
The heart of the game is the multiplier that rises with each consecutive Avalanche.
- Avalanche Win Multiplier. According to NetEnt, each Avalanche adds 1 to the multiplier, up to 5× in the base game. A spin with no win resets it.
- Free Falls. Three Free Fall scatters on reels 1, 2 and 3 (per NetEnt; Bigwinboard describes it as "on a payline") = 10 free falls. The multipliers are higher here, up to 15×.
- Wild. Substitutes for regular symbols to complete a win.
The original Gonzo's Quest has no bonus buy, according to the sources we opened.
RTP, volatility and budget
Gonzo's Quest's 95.97% RTP is slightly below the commonly used 96% reference point, and its volatility is medium.
On ₱1,000 in total bets, the expected cost at 95.97% is about ₱40. The difference from 96% is small, but always remember this applies over a huge number of spins, not a single session. The explanation is in the RTP guide.
Medium volatility sits in the middle: not as steady as low-volatility games, and not as dry as high-volatility ones. NetEnt's 41% hit frequency means wins come often, but many of them are small.
Just an example: with a ₱400 budget and ₱2 spins, that's 200 spins. Since Free Falls carry the highest multipliers and don't come often, you may not see them in a short session. Set your budget before you play. Read the volatility guide.
Myths and common mistakes
- "After a long Avalanche, the wins keep coming." Every new spin is independent. The game has no "hot" or "cold" state.
- "Avalanches are frequent, so your losses will come back." The chains of wins are already part of the 95.97% RTP. They don't remove the house edge.
- "Every site has the same max win." Sources list different max wins. Go by the game's info screen.
- "Gonzo's Quest Megaways is the same game." That's a different game with different math. This page doesn't cover it.

Where to play legally
Only play on a PAGCOR-licensed site. Gonzo's Quest is made by an international studio, so not every site in the Philippines carries it, and we don't verify which licensed sites offer it.
Before signing up, check the site's exact address with our PAGCOR license checker. Many copies and fake sites use popular game names to lure players. Only deposit inside the site's own cashier, never to an "agent's" personal GCash number. Read the safe GCash and Maya deposit guide for slots before putting in money.
