How to play and how it pays
You win when three matching symbols land on one of the 5 paylines, left to right. The lines on the 3×3 grid are three horizontal rows and two diagonals.
- Wild: substitutes for other symbols and is also the top payer.
- Regular symbols: golden ingot, lucky charm, bag of coins, red envelopes, firecrackers and oranges, from highest to lowest.
- No scatter. So there are no free spins to “chase” here.
Before you spin, check the paytable on the game's own info screen. If you're still new to reels, lines and RNG, read our slots guide first.
Features
Fortune Tiger's whole personality lives in one random feature. It has two parts:
- Fortune Tiger feature. It can trigger at random on any spin. The game picks one regular symbol, and the reels then hold only that symbol, wilds or blanks. According to BigWinBoard, any newly landed chosen symbol or wild locks and gives another respin. It continues until no new symbols land.
- ×10 multiplier. When the chosen symbol (with wilds) fills the whole grid, the win is multiplied by 10. That's where the 2,500× max win comes from.
Important: the trigger is random. According to the sources, there's no button, no counter, and no paid way to force it.
RTP and volatility
The 96.81% RTP is a long-run average, meaning a house edge of about 3.19% across all bets over a huge number of spins. It isn't a prediction for your session. Read our RTP guide for the full explanation.
Example: your budget is ₱1,000 at ₱5 per spin. Over 200 spins, that's ₱1,000 total wagered. At 96.81% RTP, the theoretical cost is about ₱31.90. But over 200 spins, the actual result can be bigger or smaller, especially depending on whether the feature hits.
Volatility is medium, so there's a mix of small line wins and the occasional bigger feature. But since there are only 5 lines and most of the big value sits in a random feature, quiet stretches can be long. Match your bet size to your budget with our volatility guide.
How it differs from the other Fortune games
Fortune Tiger is the middle child of the series: 3×3 like Mouse and Dragon, but with a ×10 full-grid multiplier like Ox.
| Game | Year | Grid and lines | RTP | Volatility | Max win | Signature feature |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fortune Mouse | 2020 | 3×3, 5 lines | 96.96% | Medium | 1,000× | Wilds on the middle reel; reels 1 and 3 respin until a win |
| Fortune Ox | 2021 | 3-4-3, 10 lines | 96.75% | High or Medium* | 2,000× | Matching symbols on reels 1 and 3; respin until a win; ×10 on a full grid |
| Fortune Tiger | 2022 | 3×3, 5 lines | 96.81% | Medium | 2,500× | One symbol plus wilds only; lock and respin; ×10 on a full grid |
| Fortune Rabbit | 2023 | 3-4-3, 10 lines | 96.75% | Medium | 5,000× | 8 spins of prize symbols only (5+ needed) |
| Fortune Dragon | 2024 | 3×3, 5 lines | 96.74% | Medium or High* | 2,500× | Multiplier Reel ×2/×5/×10; 8 Fortune Spins with 2–3 multipliers |
*Sources rate volatility differently for Fortune Ox (High vs Medium) and Fortune Dragon (Medium vs High). Year = release year according to the sources. All numbers come from the reviews listed under Sources.
Tiger's most specific difference: its feature isn't guaranteed to win. In Mouse and Ox, the reels respin until there's a win. In Tiger, symbols lock and respin until nothing new lands, so the range of outcomes is wider, from small up to a ×10 full grid. For other games, visit our slot games hub.
Myths and common mistakes
Almost every “Fortune Tiger tip” online is about timing, and it has no basis.
- “There are times when the tiger shows up more often.” The trigger is random on every spin. No time, day or “jam” changes that.
- “Use turbo, then switch to normal spins to bring out the feature.” Turbo only changes the animation speed, not the result.
- “Buy a 'hack' or join a 'signal' group.” No app can read the RNG. Most of these are scams and often come with a fake site.
- “The ×10 is close because I've been losing a long time.” The game doesn't build up a “debt” to you. Every spin is independent.
Where to play legally
Only play Fortune Tiger on a PAGCOR-licensed site. Copies, "mod" APKs and Telegram links using the names of popular PG Soft games are circulating, and nobody protects your money there.
- Type the exact site address into our PAGCOR license checker before registering or depositing.
- Only deposit through the site's own cashier, never to an "agent's" personal GCash number. Read the safe GCash and Maya deposit guide for slots.
- According to Casinos.com, Fortune Tiger has no bonus buy. If a site offers a “buy tiger,” make sure it's licensed and read the game info.
