About the provider: Golden Queen is known in the Philippines as a JILI game. Outside Asia, the same title is listed under TaDa Gaming, and it has an official game page on tadagaming.com, so that's what we used as our main source. AllSlotsOnline lists Jili Games as the provider, and on SlotsLaunch its JILI URL redirects to the TaDa Gaming page. The exact corporate relationship between JILI and TaDa is not yet verified. How to play and how it pays
Golden Queen pays on 40 fixed lines, from left to right. You need matching symbols on adjacent reels from the left to win.
The symbols are Egyptian: Cleopatra, a pharaoh, Anubis, a cobra, and the A, K, Q and J cards. According to the AllSlotsOnline paytable, premium five-of-a-kinds pay x6 to x10, and five Wilds also pay x10. The card symbols pay x1 or less.
That means each line win is small. Big wins come from many Wilds hitting many lines at once, not from a single line. If you're new to paylines and Wilds, read our slots guide first.
Features: Scarab Wilds, multipliers and free game
The Scarab is the main feature. According to the official page, it gives 5 Wilds every time a Scarab lands, and with four Scarabs the whole board turns Wild.
- Scarab Wild. From the official page's feature images: "The coming of the scarabs brings Wild cards and fortune." The scarab flies across and turns some positions Wild.
- Wild multipliers. The official images also say: "Multiple wilds brings multipliers!" The exact multiplier formula is not yet verified.
- Free game trigger. According to AllSlotsOnline, you need a "Bonus" symbol on reels 1, 3 and 5 for 8 free spins. SlotsLaunch says something different (3+ scatters, up to 15 spins), so the exact trigger is not yet verified.
- Buy feature. AllSlotsOnline lists a "Bonus Buy" among the features. It may be disabled on some sites or markets.
Golden Queen RTP and volatility
At 96.5% RTP, the long-run house edge is about 3.5%. But that number comes from reviews, not the official page. Read our RTP explainer.
Medium is the closest reading on volatility. Three of five chili peppers are lit on the official intro screen, AllSlotsOnline's specs say "Average," and its review text says "Med-High." The 3,000x max win is higher than low-volatility games, so expect quiet stretches. Read our volatility guide.
Just an example: a ₱500 session budget at ₱5 per spin is about 100 spins if nothing hits. At 96.5% RTP, the expected cost on ₱500 total wagered is about ₱17.50. If you re-bet your winnings until total wagered reaches ₱2,000, it's about ₱70. Total wagered is what matters, not just the deposit.
Myths and common mistakes
The Scarab feature is easy to overhype. Here are the common mistakes:
- "A Scarab means a sure win." It only adds Wilds. The other symbols still need to form a line.
- "3,000x is the usual free game win." That's the maximum, not the average. Most rounds are smaller.
- "There's a pattern for when four Scarabs will show up." There isn't. The RNG decides every spin.
- "Golden Queen and Golden Empire are the same." They're two different JILI games, with different grids and mechanics.
