How you win in Wild West Gold
It's a line slot: matching symbols from the left on one of the 40 paylines of a 5×4 grid.
The wild appears only on reels 2, 3 and 4, and carries an x2, x3 or x5 multiplier. When more than one wild is on the same winning line, the multipliers are added. So x5 + x5 + x3 on one line is x13, not x75.
Free spins and bonus buy
- Trigger: 3 scatters on reels 1, 3 and 5 = 8 free spins.
- Sticky wilds: every wild that lands during free spins stays until the end, along with its multiplier.
- Retrigger: 2, 3, 4 or 5 badge (sheriff star) symbols = +4, 8, 12 or 20 free spins.
- Minimum return: according to Bigwinboard, if the free spins end with a win below 10×, the game tops it up to 10×.
- Bonus buy: 100× the bet according to AskGamblers, if available in your market.
How early the wilds land matters: a wild on the first spin has many spins left to help, while a wild on the last spin is almost useless.
RTP and volatility: what they mean for your budget
At 96.51%, the expected cost is about ₱35 for every ₱1,000 in total bets; at 94.53%, about ₱55. Read the RTP guide for the explanation.
It's high volatility. The bonus's 10× minimum doesn't mean the session always "breaks even," because you spend a lot of spins before it shows up.
Example only: ₱500 at ₱5 per spin is 100 spins. If the bonus hits and only pays 10×, that's just ₱50. At ₱1 per spin, it's 500 spins and a longer session. See the volatility guide.
Myths and common mistakes
- "Free spins always pay you back because of the 10× minimum." 10× one spin is small compared to the hundreds of spins before it.
- "The wild multipliers multiply each other." They're added.
- "The max win is definitely 10,000×." The sources disagree, and the max win is extremely rare either way.
- "Wild West has a hot hour." There's no such thing in an RNG.
Where to play legally
Only play Wild West Gold on a site with a PAGCOR license. Lots of copies or "modded" versions circulate online, and you have no protection there if a withdrawal goes wrong.
- Type the exact site address into our PAGCOR license checker before you sign up. A logo or screenshot of a "license" isn't enough.
- Deposit only through the site's own cashier. Don't send money to an "agent's" personal GCash number. Read the safe GCash and Maya deposit guide for slots.
- Check the RTP on the game's info screen on that site, because the version set up there may be different.
