Paano laruin ang 4D
4D Lotto is a game of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), hindi ng PAGCOR. Pipili ka ng four-digit number, from 0000 to 9999, plus your play type and amount. Minimum is ₱10 per combination, kasama na ang 20% Documentary Stamp Tax (DST).
Puwede ang Lucky Pick (LP), at puwedeng ulitin ang taya hanggang anim na sunod-sunod na draws. Bumili lang sa authorized lotto outlets o sa official online channel ng PCSO. Basahin ang online lotto guide bago magtiwala sa kahit sinong "agent." Ang official site ay pcso.gov.ph; may mga kamukhang domain na hindi PCSO.

Ang perm (o "rambol") ay straight play ng bawat arrangement, kaya ₱10 kada combination. Mas maraming combination, mas mataas ang chance, pero mas mahal din sa parehong proporsyon.

Pari-mutuel ang 1st prize: the allocated prize money is divided equally among the winners. Draws are every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:00 PM, broadcast on IBC13 and D8TV and livestreamed on PCSO's official channels. Kailangang 18 pataas para bumili o mag-claim, ayon sa PCSO. Exact odds, with working
Each of the 4 digits is 0 to 9, so there are 104 = 10,000 possible numbers. Bilang ng tickets na nananalo per tier, counting only the highest tier per ticket (assumption namin; hindi pa verified kung puwedeng dalawang tier sa isang ticket):
- 1st: 1 ticket. Odds 1 in 10,000.
- 2nd: Last 3 right, first digit wrong = 9 tickets. Odds 10,000 ÷ 9 = 1 in 1,111.
- 3rd: Last 2 right, second digit wrong, first digit anything = 9 × 10 = 90 tickets. Odds 1 in 111.
- Any prize: 1 + 9 + 90 = 100 tickets, or 1 in 100.
Para sa perm na may 24 arrangements, 24 sa 10,000 ang tatama sa 1st prize, or 1 in 417. Sa Roll 1 o Roll 4, 10 sa 10,000, or 1 in 1,000. Magkano ang average na balik?
Expected value, using PCSO's published minimum prizes for a ₱10 standard play:
(₱10,000 × 1 + ₱800 × 9 + ₱100 × 90) ÷ 10,000 = ₱26,200 ÷ 10,000 = ₱2.62 per ₱10.
Ibig sabihin, on average, mga ₱7.38 sa bawat ₱10 ang hindi bumabalik sa players. Puwedeng tumaas ang 1st prize depende sa prize pool, at puwedeng magbago ang hatian, kaya halimbawa lang ito ng average. Ang aral: ang 4D ay binabayarang libangan, hindi paraan para kumita.
Myths na dapat kalimutan
- "Lumabas na ang 1234 last week, hindi na lalabas." Each draw is independent. Same 1 in 10,000 every time.
- "Hot and cold numbers." Past results don't predict future draws. Walang numero na "due."
- "Panaginip o petsa ng birthday, mas swerte." Puwede mong laruin ang paborito mong numero, pero pareho lang ang odds ng lahat.
- "May nagbebenta ng sure na numero." Scam iyan. I-report at huwag magbayad.
Paano mag-claim
Per PCSO's 4D page, prizes from ₱20 up to ₱10,000 can be claimed at any authorized lotto outlet, ₱20 up to ₱500,000 at PCSO branch offices, and ₱20 up to the jackpot at the PCSO Main Office, 2nd Floor. Prizes above ₱10,000 are subject to 20% tax under the TRAIN Law.
